University mission

What does EDK mean?

The EDK (in hungarian language: Evangelical University Student Group) is an inter-denominational self-help group, which we try to live and pass on what Jesus has entrusted to us: „Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”

About EDK from Szeged

EDK

We are/or were all students of University of Szeged, and as Christians help for students. We learn at various faculties of the university, our work is supported by New Hope Baptist Church (www.ujremeny.hu/szeged) and FÉK (youth group in Hungary, the name is youth people at the beginning of the life).

Our aims

EDK

Our group’s aim is that every students of the University will hear the good news from another students, who are Christian people. We encourage the students, who have joined to our group, to be stronger in the force of the good news, and don’t break away from Jesus when they will come back to their city or village.

Why is this necessary?

EDK

All of us experience is that during our university years, there’s not only professionally important to progress, we have to learn more about our personality, our relationship-forming skills, and EQ (emotional quotient). For this, however, we don’t have too many resources. That’s why we will try to help in faith and personal development for every student with lifestyle advices.
